In addition to being an author, podcaster and filmmaker, I’m a veteran professor at NYU-Tisch, where I teach top students across disciplines how to harness the power of storytelling to effect change. I created the foundational course Feminist Filmmakers, which has run twice a yearsince its inception over a decade ago. I’ve conducted workshops on gender equity in storytelling for The Gates Foundation, spoken on panels, mentored and taught for Sundance Co-lab, Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman’s, The Writer’s Lab, New York Women in Film and Television, Fusion Film Festival, Film Fatales, Tribeca and more.
